Farmers and fishers will encounter various problems in agricultural production, but the resources of small-scale farmers are limited. The Agriculture Department, New Taipei City Government, promotes the New Farm and Fishery Industry Guidance Program to provide farmers and fishers business improvement counseling as external resources. This year’s Upgrade Project Counseling Proposal is open for application from May 25 to June 5. Farmers and fishers from New Taipei City are welcome to use it more.
The Agriculture Department of the New Taipei City Government promotes New Farm and Fishery Industry Guidance Program to encourage farmers and fishers to enhance their industrial competitiveness through their packaging design, E-commerce, recreational agriculture, agricultural and fishery product processing, creative cuisine, or agricultural machinery.
The Guidance Program is divided into individual proposals and group proposals. Farmers and fishermen, companies, agricultural and fishery cooperatives, and agricultural industry groups engaged in farming and fishery production in New Taipei City, or those whose agricultural and fishery business fields are set in New Taipei City, can apply. A subsidy of NT$150000 will be given for each application, and NT$300,000 will be given for each group application. Applicants must bear 20% of the self-raised funds to cooperate with the counseling units.
Chang-Jiun Li of Gu Fang Organic Tea Farm said that they had applied for counseling resources to design new product packaging, highlight brand features, make products more textured and attractive, and negotiate with market channels to put products on shelves more smoothly. Bai Ching (By Tea Master) Tea Garden, Tian Mei Tea Garden, and Pumpkin No. 3 is the case of a joint application for counseling; they develop tea-related cuisines, creative refreshments, and seniors and promote short trips to Jinshan, experiencing a cozy tea lifestyle that highlights the unique local brand style of Pinglin District.
Wen Lee, the Commissioner of the Agriculture Department, said that New Taipei City Government would continue to integrate and offer resources to guide young farmers through internal and external resources of the Agriculture Department to enhance farmers’ professional energy, match sales channels and create opportunities for cross-industry cooperation, and stimulate innovation through course learning, observation, and exchange, which guide to project guidance, deepen product and business capabilities, and create an agricultural environment that is easier for young generations to participate in, To cultivate local young agricultural stars in the new generation of farming trends, enhance brand awareness and revenue, inject new impetus into New Taipei City’s agricultural development, and promote sustainable development of agriculture.
