[New Taipei City News] The IFOAM Asia Organic Youth Forum was officially launched yesterday (March 26). New Taipei City young farmers Kun-Feng Chen, Chang-Jiun Li, and Jia-Yu Hong share their organic experiences.

Kun-Feng Chen, one of the responsible persons for Ci-U-Ji Farm, and his two friends were influenced by the food security storm, therefore, concerned a lot about food safety. Kun-Feng Chen had family farmland, and three young people agreed to apply their expertise to organic agriculture. This is the beginning of their organic business. Many participants and members are also farmers but did not own their land, which is different from Kun-Feng Chen’s case. One Indian member asked how to allocate the crops and areas under this circumstance.

Chang-Jiun Li and Jia-Yu Hong owns Gu Fang Organic Tea Farm. This married couple now operates the family business with their children, who are high school students, which surprises everyone in the forum. All members were impressed and desired to understand more about their farming life and experience.

Still, the international conference on March 29 will be broadcast live so that more people interested in organic can join and participate.
