[New Taipei City News] To promote high-quality organic agricultural products, New Taipei City Government and IFOAM Asia, the world’s most significant organic agriculture NGO, jointly established the Center of Excellence for Intelligent Organic Marketing in Asia (CEIOMA; website: ceioma.org). One of CEIOMA’s missions is to assist organic farmers in increasing sales through innovative marketing models in new channels and to expand the production and quality of organic agricultural products; thus, the “Eco-friendly Contractual Farming Affiliate Platform” was established (website: lecfp.org). Yi-Yi Wu and Kuo-Shin Tseng of Ding-Sheng Bee Farm are one of the members of Eco-friendly Contractual Farming Affiliate Platform. They brought their bees to the northern mountain area of New Taipei City this summer. One beehive after another was placed between the woods. People are mostly afraid of being stung when they see bees, but Yi-Yi Wu uses smokers calmly to comfort bee clusters in boxes. This is the pre-step of the honey collection as if it is a ceremony to obtain natural resources. To brew longan honey, lychee honey, and pomelo honey and take a bee farm in Sanxia as their base, Yi-Yi Wu and Kuo-Shin Tseng had to cooperate with many farmers over Taiwan. They also visited the forest not polluted by chemical fertilizers and pesticides to reach Mori Cleyera; that’s why their bees can brew with a particular aroma, sweet, sour, and soft taste. Their honey is rich in beneficial enzymes; love naturally produces tiny bubbles when pouring out, which is the most precious and excellent honey product.
Wen Lee, the Commissioner of Agriculture Department of New Taipei City Government, said that the Agriculture Department established the Eco-friendly Contractual Farming Affiliate Platform to cooperate with e-commerce in virtual channels to sell agricultural products, and farmers have also been matched to participate in market activities to get in touch with more potential contractual customers. For example, on September 12, Ding-Sheng Bee Farm took part in the Golden Sun Market in Fuzhou Community and got good sales. Yi-Yi Wu and Kuo-Shin Tseng also joined the New Taipei City Eco-friendly Contractual Farming Community (website: owlting.com/market/contractfarming) established by the Agriculture Department and OwlTing Market. Besides the superior honey from Ding-Sheng Bee Farm, there are also varieties of friendly and organic agricultural products on the website.
